update, April, 2 2016 First and foremost this isn’t a sailing blog I’m a sailor and I live and sail on my boat but sailing is only the tip of it. In the last year, I’ve toured the San Juan!s afoot and by bicycle and by sailboat. Sailed the inside passage, bicycle toured Oregon. Bicycle toured Maui, went on wine tour back in Oregon and now again and touring the local islands and mainland now on my Brompton folding bike I don’t have any life goals other than to live every day, I just drift on the tide working when I can but mostly playing around. Sookie is a fine sailing yacht than can go anywhere any maybe some day I will but I’m pretty content exlporing my local waters by summer and splitting with the bike as soon as I feel the big chill coming.. As always good wine in hand and sometimes, ok most times shitty wine.
At the age of 36 I left the secure world of corporate America and vowed never to return. After purchasing this boat I had exactly .14 cents left in my life savings. I am on quest to create a safe, simple boat as my home base and continue to live life to the fullest that I can. I have no savings and earn as I go, some days its feast, others its famine. In the meantime I will slowly explore the world in search of fine wine, cheese, and bread, my daily staples. Basically I am a maximalist in minimalist clothing.
